The East German armed forces (NVA), Police and related agencies wore a limited variety of pants that, once officially established, remained more consistent than not over the years. The pants varied by agency, function and, for the armed forces but not Police, by rank. Pants issued before 1961 remain scarce for both the armed forces and Police, and are therefore difficult to generalize about. For sizing details on pants go here
